This dataset is compiled from over 1.5 million FetLife user accounts’ basic profile data (available here).

In this dataset of 1.5 million accounts, a total of 15,495 accounts were identified as having premium FetLife memberships (“supporter” badges). These are FetLife’s direct financial supporters, a kind of customer. The complete list of these customer accounts is shown in full in the “All Paid Accounts” sheet.

Of the 15,495 customer accounts, 14,540 of them (93.84%) self-reported their gender as either “F” (Female) or “M” (Male). The table above shows the self-reported sex role of these customers. Male doms make up far and away the largest proportion of FetLife’s customer base, accounting for 3,452 (22.28%) of the total customer accounts identified. Taken together, cisgender men make up 72.89% of FetLife’s total customer base (11,295 accounts).
