His arched back, uneven distribution of weight on his legs and arms, and his raised ass and face show a sexual—and sexualized—freedom too rarely seen in images of men. I wish more mainstream pornography depicted the sort of physical openness this man is displaying because, for better or worse, pornography influences the way people think and act in relation to sex. It’s an epic tragedy that the predominant conception of the way in which men feel about their submission is “humiliated,” degraded, or worthy of “punishment,” or that particular activities, like paddling or pegging, are festooned with stereotypes of shame. That’s why I’m so happy to see that absolutely no part of this image makes getting paddled seem like a retribution for this man in any way.
