In front of a gathered crowd, one man walks another man who is walking on hands and knees and leashed like a dog on the street. Both have ecstatic smiles on their faces.
Sometimes it’s even the most private of sexual expressions that, in public, are abhorred. The contrast of that reality in which most people live with this picture of two happy men, one holding the leash and the other being walked by the first, is jarring to say the least. I look at these men and I see joy in their faces, but that’s not what I often see when I look into the faces of those too shameful to express their desires publicly. How wasteful it is that so many people prefer to argue over definitions of obscenity instead of enjoying their lives, like these men are.
