I like this photo from Derek Isme—I like it a lot—because it’s so full of narrative and emotion and potential. Derek says “[t]he young man’s expression…seems to me to embody sexual surrender and submission” and “I love the way her nails just barely graze his neck.” At the same time, I am sincerely disappointed that there isn’t more expressly hardcore photography turning up in contributions to this site. Even Derek notes that “[t]here’s nothing expressly sexual about the scene,” and while we’ve been getting heaps of good suggestions for photography to post, there is nevertheless a conspicuous lack of hardcore male submission imagery that doesn’t subscribe to the typical pitfalls of degradation and humiliation (and frankly, even those images are hardly what I’d call hardcore). I take this as an unambiguous sign that such imagery does not exist in any significant quantity, and that makes me sad. -maymay
