A young couple, barefoot on a suburban sidewalk, caress and smile at one another. The boy is kneeling in front of the girl as she holds his head gently. This is an extremely sweet picture that somehow reminds me of all those cheesy 80’s teen romance movies, except with the rigid gender stereotypes mercifully abandoned in history. My second thought was, “Gee, that’s a short skirt she’s wearing,” although in this context she somehow seems more self-aware of her display than she might otherwise.
