Male Submission Art

Art and visual erotica that depicts masculine submission.

We showcase beautiful imagery where men and other male-identified people are submissive subjects. We aim to challenge stereotypes of the "pathetic" submissive man. Learn more….

A man whose hands are bound behind him is pressed against a wood board separating him from another young man, who’s on his knees on the other side of the barrier. The kneeling man is, presumably, giving the standing boy a blowjob.
Derek Isme writes to us with this photograph, saying, “There’s lots to like about [this photo]: the simple and effective bondage, the attractive submissive man, his faint smile, the nice composition and uncluttered background. I also like how [?] the guy’s legs are slightly bent and his feet somewhat awkwardly splayed as he pushes himself flat against the board. [?] Perhaps it adds a touch of innocence (boyishness?) to the scene?”
Scenes with gloryholes in them are particularly interesting to me because they are so clearly a product of men’s sexual anatomy. Specifically, a male-bodied person’s genitals are external things. This sounds obvious and somewhat ridiculous when you say it (“so what?”), but consider how much human history has been shaped by the subjective interpretation of what it means to have most of one’s genitals on the outside of your body.
Although many “normal people” are quick to pay lip service to the idea that power is not intrinsically associated with penises, their actions say quite the opposite. What strikes me, then?and it’s part of why I like this photograph?is that it’s the very fact that the man’s penis is external genitalia that makes his submissive participation in this scene physically possible. What do you think the patriarchy would say to that?
