Derek Isme sent in this photograph. He writes, “It’s quite a good picture (composition, lighting, attractive guy, etc.) and certainly a whole lot better than the standard porn shot. I especially like how the use of light focuses the viewer’s attention on the upper body and face of the boy tied to the wood cross.”
In addition to the use of lighting, I’m also fond of the fact that there isn’t much telling us that the man kneeling in front of the bound man is dominant. He may not be, and perhaps these are two submissive men playing with one another at the behest of the (dominant?) photographer. It strikes me that, seen in this light, I can easily imagine myself in either position feeling equally submissive.
